In 2020, co-founders Aimee Persic and Shannon Tingley teamed up to make a bold vision into reality. Their dream? An outdoor living company designed to serve the needs and wishes of families like their own. Since those early days, Riverside Pools & Hardscapes has evolved into a thriving business, serving homes across Southeast, NC. Built on a foundation of quality craftsmanship and exceptional customer service, Riverside’s story continues to unfold with exciting new chapters.
Today, Aimee leads the company alongside her husband Eric, who brings over 35 years of outdoor living expertise to the team. Although no longer a daily fixture, Shannon remains active behind the scenes, continuing to bring her experience and understanding of the local community’s needs to Riverside’s ongoing projects. Together, the team works with perfect alignment of values and vision.
Their collaborative investment in the company has allowed Riverside Pools & Hardscapes to continue expanding capabilities while maintaining the same commitment to excellence. That means transforming outdoor spaces and exceeding client expectations. This journey continues, built on experience, passion, and the promise of creating beautiful outdoor environments for years to come.
Aimee Persic
After staying home to raise her kids, then working as a teacher for five years, Aimee drew upon know-how from her management days to team up with Shannon and launch Riverside Pools and Hardscapes. It was a great fit — she had business development experience and hands-on hardscape construction experience, from working alongside her husband, Eric for several years. Aimee knows how important it is for families to have a space to unwind, relax, and connect. That’s why she’s passionate about making the whole process of creating an outdoor sanctuary as seamless as possible.
Shannon Tingley
A Wilmington resident since 1989 and licensed NC General Contractor, Shannon spent 21 years as a nurse before co-founding Riverside Pools and Hardscapes with her business partner Aimee. Her attention to detail and amazing southern charm, along with her contractor’s expertise, help deliver high-quality outdoor living spaces with integrity and create an enjoyable experience for every customer.
Eric Persic
With over 35 years in the outdoor living industry, Eric began his entrepreneurial journey at just 10 years old with his first landscape business. After selling this successful venture in 2003, Eric continued to master hardscape installation, as well as hone all other skills he needs for designing outdoor spaces that people love. An ICPI certified professional and current member of the Imagine Pools dealer council, Eric brings top-notch expertise to Riverside Pools and Hardscapes. His extensive background in the industry, willingness to learn new skills and tackle projects others consider too tough, ensures clients receive the highest standard of craftsmanship and service in their outdoor living projects.
